Mitchell

The Mitchell track & field teams will compete this afternoon. They will be on the road in Huron at Huron Tiger Stadium beginning at 2pm.

The Lady Kernels golf team is set to be in action this morning. They will travel to Brookings to play at the Brookings Country Club at 10am in a Varsity Invitational.

The varsity boys tennis team plays today & tomorrow. They will have their State Championships over the next two days in Sioux Falls beginning at 8am both days.

Dakota Wesleyan

The Tiger track & field team will have athletes competing the next two days in Marion, Indiana. They will have the NAIA Outdoor National Championships for the women today and the men tomorrow. Abby Magnuson will compete today, and Ethan Watson will compete tomorrow at the Wildcat Track & Field Complex.

Amateur Baseball

Tonight, the Alexandria Angels and the Parkston Rays will be in action. Both teams are in search of win number two. Their game is set to begin at 8pm.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins took on the Cleveland Guardians last night. It was the Twins who managed to come out on top by a score of 6-5. This game was the finished product of the cancelled Monday night game. Minnesota has today off but will resume tomorrow when they host the Kansas City Royals at 7:10pm.

WNBA

It was a trio of games in the WNBA last night. Beginning with the Minnesota Lynx defeating the Dallas Wings, 85-81. The next two games to end the night were both tight all the way through. The Phoenix Mercury took down the Los Angeles Sparks 89-86. Then the Golden State Valkyries got their first win as a franchise as they beat the Washington Mystics, 76-74. Tonight, you’ll have the Indiana Fever at the Atlanta Dream at 6:30pm on Prime Video. Then it’s the New York Liberty at the Chicago Sky at 7pm on WNBA League Pass.

NBA

The Eastern Conference Finals got rolling last night. It was the No. 3 seed New York Knicks hosting the No. 4 seed Indiana Pacers. It was the Pacers who overcame a 17-point deficit with six minutes in the game to force overtime and win in OT, 138-135. Tonight, will be Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. Newly crowned 2025 NBA MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder, will again host the No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves at 7:30pm on ESPN.
