Mitchell Basketball

The Kernel basketball teams will be playing against Aberdeen Central tonight in separate locations. Girls are on the road and boys are at home. The girls JV will play at 4pm and so will the freshman/JV boys with the freshman in the auxiliary gym and JV in the main. Sophomore girls and boys play at 5:15pm, girls in Aberdeen and boys in the main gym. Varsity games begin at 7pm with the (RV) Kernel girls on the road and the Kernel boys in the main gym in Mitchell.

DWU Basketball

The Tiger basketball teams will get back to action tomorrow night on the road. They will be in Forest City, IA at the Hanson Fieldhouse on Denny Jerome Court with each team facing Waldorf. The No. 9 women’s basketball team will play first at 5pm and the men will follow and play at 6:45pm.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves remained at home for their latest game where they hosted the Atlanta Hawks. They came away with the win, and seven different Timberwolves were in double figures in the 138-116 win. Anthony Edwards led the scoring effort with 30 points, and Julius Randle added an 18-point, 12-rebound and 10-assist triple-double.
