The Mitchell varsity track & field team will get back to competition again this afternoon. They will remain here in Mitchell and compete at Dakota Wesleyan University for a Varsity Invitational beginning at Noon.

Tiger Women’s wrestling’s Keera Lacock has earned the NAIA Women’s Scholar All-American award. She earned this honor as just a freshman in the inaugural year of women’s wrestling at DWU.

The Tiger women’s basketball team had one of its players selected as an All-American, garnishing third-team honors. Earning the honor was sophomore Emma Yost, who also received Great Plains Athletic Conference All-Conference first-team honors this season.

The Tiger baseball team, who has won nine of their last 13 games, were supposed to return to the field tomorrow afternoon. They were set to host the Mayville State Comets in a non-conference doubleheader at 1 & 3pm at Drake Field, but it has been cancelled due to forecasted weather in Mitchell.

Tiger softball returns to action tomorrow afternoon for doubleheader games in Mitchell. They will take on the Dordt Defenders in GPAC play beginning at 3 & 5pm.

The Tiger men’s golf team remains in competition today and as they compete in the Hardrocker Invitational in Rapid City, SD beginning again at 9am.

March Madness

The women’s NCAA tournament has wrapped up all their Elite Eight games and their Final Four is set now as well. Their Final Four will consist of No. 2 UConn, No. 1 UCLA, No. 1 South Carolina & No. 1 Texas. They will begin Final Four games on April 4.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins opened up their series with the Chicago White Sox yesterday afternoon. It ended in disappointing fashion as the Twins were shut out, 9-0. Beginning the year 0-4. Today, they will face the White Sox in Chicago again at 6:40pm.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves will play at the Denver Nuggets tonight in Denver at 9pm on TNT/TruTV/MAX. The other National TV game is also on TNT/TruTV/MAX and will air just before the Minnesota game and get rolling at 6:30pm.
