The Lady Kernels softball team have their SoDak16 game this evening. They will face Brandon Valley at Brandon McHardy Park at 5pm.
The Lady Kernels golf team will compete today in the varsity ESD meet. They’ll face various teams and get started at 10am at the Brandon Golf Course.
Dakota Wesleyan
The track & field season has come to a close now as a pair of Tigers wrapped things up in the NAIA Outdoor National Championships. Graduate student Abby Magnuson finished 14th in shot put, just shy of another All-American bid. She ends her Tiger career as No. 1 in shot put, indoor and outdoor. She also competed in discus, where she placed 19th overall. Freshman Ethan Watson competed in shot put and placed 18th out of 24 competitors. A very bright future ahead for the young freshman.
MLB
The Minnesota Twins started their series with the Tampa Bays Rays yesterday. It was the Rays who took the first game of this series, 7-2. The Twins will get a chance to bounce back as the two teams play again tonight at 6:05pm.
WNBA
Tonight, there will be a five-game slate. At 6pm, it’s the Dallas Wings at the Connecticut Sun and Golden State Valkyries at the New York Liberty. Starting at 7pm will be the Seattle Storm at the Minnesota Lynx. Ending the night is the Atlanta Dream at the Los Angeles Sparks and the Chicago Sky at the Phoenix Mercury, with both games starting at 9pm.
NBA
The Western Conference Finals continued with Game 4 last night. The No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves faced the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder. OKC managed to get another win, 128-126 and go up 3-1 and are one game away from an NBA Finals appearance.
