The girls golf team had yet another successful outing yesterday! They competed on the road at Sioux Falls Washington in the Warrior Invite and took first place as a team, shooting a 306 team score. Top 10 finishers include Mia Larson who shot an 80 and took eighth, Anna Eliason shooting a 75 and finishing fifth, while Maddie Childs shot a 70 and placed first. They’ll compete again this morning in the Yankton Quad at 10am.
The boys varsity tennis team will compete today on the road. They’ll be playing in the Harrisburg Triangular beginning at 11am.
The Kernel baseball team will be playing again today right here in Mitchell. It will be their final home game of the season as they get set to take on Sioux Falls Washington. They will play a doubleheader and start at 5pm.

The Minnesota Twins get back to the field today when they take on the Baltimore Orioles. Minnesota sits at 15-20 now after a mixed bag of wins and losses lately. They’ll play the Orioles tonight at 6:40pm in Minneapolis, MN.
NBA
The conference semifinal round of the NBA playoffs continued yesterday! It was opening games for a couple of matchups. You had the No. 3 seed New York Knicks take down the No. 2 seed Boston Celtics in Game 1 by a score of 108-105 to take a 1-0 series lead. Also starting the series off with a win were the No. 4 seed Denver Nuggets who took down the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder, 121-119. The No. 4 seed Indiana Pacers and No. 1 seed Cleveland Cavaliers will have Game 2 tonight at 6pm on TNT/TruTV/MAX. As well as the No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves and No. 7 seed Golden State Warriors will have Game 1 tonight at 8:30pm on TNT/TruTV/MAX.
