Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel girls tennis team will continue their Varsity ESD meet today. They will compete again at Yankton high school and begin today at 8am.

Mitchell Golf

The Kernel golf team competed in their Varsity ESD meet yesterday. They ended up finishing in seventh place as a team with a total score of 307. Mitchell had a pair of athletes in the Top 20. With Carter McCormick finishing in 20th place and four over par. Asher Dannenbring claimed ninth place and had a two over par finish.

Mitchell Soccer

The Kernel soccer teams get back to the field today. They are traveling over to face Aberdeen Central at the Gene Brownell Complex. Varsity boys and girls JV play at 4pm, while the girls varsity and the boys JV begin at 6pm.

Mitchell Volleyball

The Kernel volleyball team will hit the road today to Sioux Falls for their match. They are taking on Sioux Falls Lincoln at Sioux Falls Lincoln high school. Freshman and JV play at 4:30pm, sophomores play at 5:30pm and varsity starts at 6:30pm.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams will be on the road tomorrow night for their match. They will be in Orange City, Iowa at the NWC Soccer Complex to face the Northwestern Red Raiders. The men will play first at 5pm and the women will follow and play at 7:30pm.

WNBA

The WNBA Semifinals Game 5 will happen tonight to see who will join the No. 4 seed Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Finals. It will be the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever at the No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces at 8:30pm on ESPN2.

NFL

Monday Night Football took place last night with a pair of games. It was a 27-21 win for the Miami Dolphins over the New York Jets to get their first win of the season, but it came at a cost as Tyreek Hill was carted off with a knee injury. The final MNF game ended up a 28-3 victory for the Denver Broncos over the Cincinnati Bengals.
