Mitchell Football

The Kernel football is preparing to play their last game of the season tomorrow night. It’ll be at home in Mitchell at Joe Quintal Field against the Yankton Bucks for Senior Night. The game begins at 7pm.

Mitchell Volleyball

The No. 5 Kernel volleyball team took on Aberdeen Central last night on the road. The seven-game win streak came to an end last night as Mitchell was swept by Aberdeen Central, 3-0. Next, they’ll play Friday at Tea Area at 6:30pm.

DWU Soccer

The Tigers soccer teams will both be competing this afternoon. They’ll hit the road to Sioux City, Iowa and play on Faber Field against Briar Cliff. The men will play first at 1pm and the women will play after at 2:30pm.

DWU Volleyball

The (RV) Tiger volleyball team will be in action tonight. They’ll be in Forest City, Iowa taking on the Waldorf Warriors. Their game will be played at Denny Jerome Court beginning at 7:30pm.

MLB

The World Series is set to begin this Friday. It will be between the No. 1 seed Toronto Blue Jays and the No. 3 seed Los Angeles Dodgers. Game 1 will be in Toronto and begin at 7pm on FOX.

NFL

Tomorrow is Thursday Night Football on Prime Video which will begin week 8 in the NFL. It’ll be the Minnesota Vikings at the Los Angeles Chargers with kickoff set for 7:15pm.

NBA

The season kicked off last night with the Houston Rockets at the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors at the Los Angeles Lakers. The Rockets and Thunder went into double overtime to kick off the new season. It was the defending champion Thunder who came away with the win, 125-124 (2OT). Ending the night was Warriors vs Lakers. It was Golden State who took the win in regulation over LA, 119-109. The Minnesota Timberwolves will play their first game of the season at 9pm tonight on the road at the Portland Trail Blazers on NBA League Pass.
