The Kernel basketball teams will host the SoDak 16 games at home this weekend in the World’s Only Corn Palace. The girls are the 6 seed and will play Friday against the 11 seed Brookings at 7pm. The boys will play on Saturday as the 4 seed and face the 13 seed Rapid City Central at 6pm.

Tiger women’s wrestling’s Keera Lacock has been named 2nd team All-Conference for her performance this season. The freshman earned this honor even after having an early injury that limited her time on the mat but willed her way to this honor in the inaugural season for the Great Plains Athletic Conference Women’s Wrestling.
The Tiger softball team will be playing on the road today. They’re in Tucson, AZ playing in the Tucson Invitational for the next week. Today they’ll be playing against Benedictine Mesa (AZ) in a doubleheader beginning at 6pm.
The Tiger baseball team is also in Tucson, AZ for the Tucson Invitational where their first games will be tomorrow against Bethany Lutheran.
The No. 13 ranked Tiger women’s basketball team’s Rylee Rosenquist has been named the Offensive Player of the Week in the GPAC. She earned the honor after posting 21points, 15 rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 50% from three in the GPAC Quarterfinal win vs Doane. The Selection Show for the National Tournament is scheduled for Thursday, March 6 at 6pm for the women & 7pm for the men. The first and second rounds are to be played on March 14 & 15 at the host sites.
South Dakota State
The Jackrabbit men’s and women’s basketball teams will have Summit League Tournament action later this week. The women enter as the 1 seed and will face the winner of a matchup between Omaha and Denver today and the winner will be the 8 seed then will face the Jackrabbit women at about 2:30pm on tomorrow at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. The men enter as the 3 seed and will host 6 seed North Dakota on Friday, Mar. 7 at approximately 8:15pm.
NBA
The Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Philadelphia 76ers last night. They came away with a 126-112 win, led by Naz Reid with 23 points. Minnesota had seven different players in double figures. They play again today on the road at the Charlotte Hornets beginning at 6pm. Other NBA games include a pair of National TV games on ESPN. It’ll be the Miami Heat at the Cleveland Cavaliers at 6pm and the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Memphis Grizzlies at 8:30pm.
