The girls golf team does it yet again! Another first place finish for the Lady Kernels, this time in the Yankton Quad. Top 10 finishers include Raegan Sperl who shot an 89 and finished 10th, Londyn Hajek shot an 88 and tied for eighth, Ava Eliason shot an 85 and placed sixth, Mia Larson shot an 80 and finished third while Maddie Childs & Anna Eliason shot a 78 and tied for first. They’ll compete once more this week tomorrow morning when they head to Huron for the Huron Invitational at 10am.

The varsity track & field teams are set to compete tomorrow. They’ll compete in the Yankton Invite on the road beginning at Noon.

The Kernel baseball team took on Sioux Falls Washington at home last night in a doubleheader. They closed out the Warriors with ease in both games winning by a combined score of 17-2. Taking Game 1, 11-1 and Game 2, 6-1. They will play again this Friday against Yankton.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins faced the Baltimore Orioles last night. It was the Twins who picked up a 9-1 win last night at home. They are now 16-20 nearing ever so close to .500 on the season. They’ll host the Orioles again tonight at 6:40pm.

NBA

The NBA playoffs kept trucking along last night with more games on the schedule. It started with the No. 4 seed Indiana Pacers beating the No. 1 seed Cleveland Cavaliers at the buzzer, 120-119 and now have a 2-0 series lead. Then the No. 7 seed Golden State Warriors took down the No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1, 99-88 to take a 1-0 series lead. Tonight, you’ll have the No. 3 seed New York Knicks at the No. 2 seed Boston Celtics for Game 2 at 6pm on TNT/TruTV/MAX. Followed by the No. 4 seed Denver Nuggets at the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder at 8:30pm on TNT/TruTV/MAX.
