Mitchell

The Lady Kernels have wrapped up State Tournament action after competing the last two days in Sioux Falls. Results have Mitchell finishing in second place at 67 over par, 18 strokes behind the winners, Aberdeen Central. Individually, four Lady Kernels finished inside the Top 20. Mia Larson tied for 18th with 18 over par and an 83 score on day two; Ava Eliason climbed and tied for ninth with 19 over par and a 78 score yesterday. Anna Eliason slipped to tie for seventh with a 17 over par total and an 84 score the final day and Maddie Childs placed second at four over par and a 71 score on the second day.

Dakota Wesleyan

The Tiger softball team’s McKinnely Mull has been named to the NAIA All-American Third team. Mull posted a .431 batting average, 12 home runs, 57 RBI’s and overtook multiple DWU softball records. The full release of All-Americans can be found here.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins faced the Oakland Athletics again last night. It was another win for the Twins as they took this one, 10-3. Next, the Twins and Athletics play again tonight at 9:05pm for their third game.

WNBA

Three games were on tap last night. The Indiana Fever took down the Washington Mystics, 85-76, and the Minnesota Lynx beat the Phoenix Mercury, 88-65. Ending the night was the Seattle Storm defeating the Dallas Wings, 83-77. Tonight, it’s a pair of games. The New York Liberty are at the Mystics at 6:30pm and the Golden State Valkyries are at the Mercury at 9pm. Both games will air on Prime Video.

NBA

The NBA Finals will begin tomorrow. It’ll be the No. 4 seed Indiana Pacers at the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder at 7:30pm on ABC.
