Flandreau qualified for today’s state championship game in the Class B Amateur Baseball Tournament by defeating Dimock-Emery 5-1 on Saturday.

Drew Weber picked up the win on the mound for Flandreau — delivering 7 and a third innings of 1-run ball. Weber was pulled in the eighth with two Dimock Emery baserunners on and only one out and was replaced by Bret Severtson. Severtson made quick work of the Raptors offense by striking out the first batter he faced and popping out the second to end the threat.

Hartford-Humboldt pickup player Drew DeMers came up big offensively for Flandreau in the semifinal win. Duh-merz went three-for-four with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Also, the Dell Rapids Mudcats defeated Winner-Colome 6-0 in the late semifinals game to advance to the championship.

The Class B state championship will be at 2 p.m. today at Cadwell Park.

In the ‘A’ Championship, Harrisburg is taking on Renner today at noon. Harrisburg defeated Brookings yesterday 15-9 to earn a spot in the championship game
