Sioux Falls O’Gorman wins at the South Dakota High School AA Girls Golf Tournament in Sioux Falls with a +54. Mitchell placed second with a +89, followed by Aberdeen Central. Individually, Reese Jansa of Harrisburg took individual honors with a -8, followed by Shannon McCormick of Sioux Falls O’Gorman with a +3. Two other O’Gorman golfers, Lauren Sutcliffe and Emily Kolb, finished 3rd and 4th. Mitchell’s Masy Mock placed 5th with a +11. Mitchell’s Quinn Dannenbring tied for 12th with a +20. Allison Meyerink and Maddie Childs of Mitchell tied for 18th and 27th, respectively.
In Class A, Sioux Falls Christian wins with a +143. Sisseton finished in second with a +173, followed by Winner and Vermillion. Maiya Muller of Beresford took individual honors with a +11, followed by Kelsey Heath of Sisseton at +12, and Sydney Tims of Sioux Falls Christian at +25.
After swapping leads several times throughout the tournament, Estelline/Hendricks wins in Class B Girls with a +122, 2 shots ahead of Bison. Deubrook, Howard, and White River round out the top 5. Jayce Pugh of Miller wins the individual championship with a +18, while Kaylee Johnson of Estelline/Hendricks and Allison Kahler of Bison tied for second at +21.
In the Boys Class B State Golf Tournament, Chester came out on top with a +68. Platte-Geddes finished second with a +70, followed by Deubrook and DeSmet. Brody Boltjes of Platte-Geddes wins the individual championship with a +8. Bennett Cassens of Faulkton finished in second with a (+9). Tanner Preheim of Deuel and Sam Hansen of Great Plains Lutheran finished tied for third with a (+12).
