He co-chairs the legislature’s appropriations committee and says the upcoming ten percent cut in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families won’t be the last difficult decision the committee faces. There are about 25-hundred South Dakota families on the Temporary Assistance program. They currently receive just over $550 per month to help make ends meet.
