Class A: 

  • No. 7 seed West Central vs No. 3 seed Wagner at 12:45pm (Consolation Semifinals) 

Class B: 

  • No. 8 seed Corsica-Stickney vs No. 4 seed Ethan at 5pm (Semifinals) 
  • No. 6 seed Harding County vs No. 2 seed Parkston at 6:45pm (Semifinals)

Mitchell Basketball

The (RV) Kernel girls basketball team had quite a battle yesterday in the Quarterfinal of the Class AA State Tournament. No. 7 seed Mitchell stayed with the Class AA back-to-back State Champions all game long. Though turnovers and a tough shooting second half plagued the Kernels in the end and they fell, 55-44. Mitchell will face No. 6 seed Sioux Falls Jefferson this afternoon at 12:45pm MT/1:45pm CT for a chance to get back to the Consolation Championship game for a fourth straight season.

DWU Baseball

The Tiger baseball team was supposed to have games against Morningside yesterday, but those games ended up being postponed to a later date. Though tomorrow, the Tigers will face a different Great Plains Athletic Conference opponent to open conference play. They’ll take on Northwestern tomorrow in Orange City, IA in a doubleheader beginning at 1pm.

DWU Softball

The Tiger softball team swept the day yesterday in the Tucson Invitational. They began the day facing Viterbo and took care of business with an 8-2 win. Then they followed it up against Mayville State and even got up to double figure runs with an 11-4 victory. DWU is now 15-10 overall going into today. They’ll face Mayville State again at Noon today on Lincoln Park – Field 6 and then play against Westcliff (CA) afterwards at 2pm on Lincoln Park – Field 5. These games will round out play in Tucson, AZ.

DWU Basketball

The No. 9 Tiger basketball team will begin 2026 NAIA Women’s Basketball National Tournament play tonight. DWU is the No. 2 seed, and they are hosting the No. 15 seed St. Francis at the Corn Palace. Tipoff is set for 6pm and is a blackout theme! They are also hosting a pep rally at 3:30pm at Bradley’s ahead of the game.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves hit the road again tonight for their next game. They are in San Francisco, CA at the Chase Center to take on the Golden State Warriors. Tipoff is set for 8pm and will air on Prime Video.
