STURGIS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) An as of yet unidentified man from Sturgis has died following a single-vehicle crash in Summerset. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says the 70-year-old driver was heading west on Sturgis Road Friday when he struck a road sign, then a telephone pole after veering into a ditch. A 70-year-old man from Sturgis has died following a single-vehicle crash in Summerset. According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the man was driving west on Sturgis Road Friday when his vehicle struck a road sign and a telephone pole after veering into a ditch.
