Public meetings are underway for Summit Carbon Solution’s reapplication to build a CO2 pipeline in the state. Wednesday’s meeting in Sioux Falls was one of six being held across South Dakota this week.  Summit presented a brief overview on the pipeline before opening up the floor for public comment.  The project aims to capture carbon and then store it underground in North Dakota.  Summit’s first application in South Dakota was denied.  North Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota have signed off on projects.
