SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The annual Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls has a big economic impact on the city.  The event draws thousands of fans and generates millions of dollars annually. An estimated 65-thousand people attend the five-day basketball tournament and have a local economic impact of around ten-million dollars, according to the local Sports Authority. The boost comes from people spending money at places, like retailers, restaurants, hotels, attractions, and even gas stations. The 2025 tourney wrapped up on Sunday.
