BROOKINGS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The 96th Annual Future Farmers of America Convention begins in Brookings today – April 18, 2024 – and runs through Saturday. Traditionally the convention takes place in its entirety on the campus of South Dakota State University but due to the renovations going on at the Frost Center, much of the FFA Convention has been moved to the Dakotah Bank, formerly known as the Swiftel, Center. While many sessions and activities will take place at the Dakotah Bank Center the competitions will still be held at SDSU.
The theme for this year’s convention is “Break Through”. South Dakota currently has more than 6000 FFA members spread across 111 chapters. Those who can’t attend the convention in person are able to watch many of the events via livestream. Find the link at the South Dakota State FFA Convention website.
