The cross country teams are set to return to action today and run a Varsity Invitational. It will take place in Huron at Huron Broadland Creek Golf Course beginning at 4pm.
Football will be playing today and tomorrow. With the Freshman competing tonight at Joe Quintal Field against Tea Area at 4:15pm. The varsity will travel to Huron to battle for a chance to keep those playoff hopes alive. The pregame will begin at 6:40pm and kickoff at 7pm.
Dakota Wesleyan
The rankings have been released from the Great Plains Athletic Conference for the upcoming basketball season. On the men’s side, they are ranked sixth of the 11 GPAC teams after receiving 53 total votes. Briar Cliff is fifth with 64, Morningside is fourth with 73, Dordt is third with 83, Northwestern is second with 93 and Concordia is first with 94. Tiger Men’s Basketball begins their season next Saturday when they travel to Storm Lake, Iowa to take on Buena Vista at 2pm. On the women’s side of things, the Tigers are ranked third in the GPAC with 100 total votes. Ahead of DWU is Concordia with 106 votes and Dordt with 114. Tiger Women’s Basketball begins their season on the road in Bartlesville, Oklahoma when they face Oklahoma Wesleyan at the Mueller Sports Center.
Volleyball will compete again this Saturday against the College of Saint Mary (NE). Coming fresh off a sweep of the Valley City State Vikings, they’ll look to keep it rolling. First serve is set for 5pm in the Christin Family Athletic Center.
Tiger football will have a juggernaut of a matchup on Saturday as they aim for their third straight win. They will welcome in the No. 4 ranked Dordt Defenders for a game at Joe Quintal Field. The pregame will begin at 12:35pm and kickoff is set for 1pm.

Last night, it was Game 3 between the No. 6 seed New York Mets and the No. 1 seed Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers had control from the beginning of the game and ended up pulling out the win, 8-0. They now have a 2-1 series lead. Next, the No. 2 seed Cleveland Guardians and No. 1 seed New York Yankees will continue their series with Game 3 tonight as the Yankees look for a sweep. The game will take place this afternoon at 4:08pm on TBS/TruTV.
WNBA
A thrilling game took place last night in Minnesota between the No. 1 seed New York Liberty and the No. 2 seed Minnesota Lynx. It came down to the wire in Minnesota, but the grit of the Liberty prevailed. Sabrina Ionescu hit a CLUTCH three with ONE second left to get her team out in front and the Lynx could not get off a good shot in the final second to tie it up. New York now leads the series 2-1 after garnishing an 80-77 victory on the road. Game 4 will be tomorrow in Minnesota again for the Liberty’s chance at their first WNBA Championship.

Thursday Night Football continues tonight on Prime Video. It’ll be a matchup between the Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints. The game begins at 7:15pm.
