A trial date has been set for a Mitchell man who is accused of stabbing another man to death last summer. 60-year old Robert Ladenburger is charged with murder in the stabbing death of Rodney Bahm. Ladenburger’s trial is scheduled to begin on December 9th. The state is not seeking the death penalty in the case. Several deadlines, including the mailing of jury questionnaires and providing lists of experts, were set in a hearing on Friday. The incident occurred in August when Mitchell police were called to an apartment building on West 2nd Avenue where they found a large amount of blood and a trail of blood that led them to the Mitchell Public Safety Building. They found Bahm, who had been stabbed several times. He died the next day at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital.
