SoDak 16 volleyball gets going tonight! A few local area teams will be competing. In Class A SoDak 16, No. 13 seed Hanson will face No. 4 seed Dakota Valley at Centerville High School at 7pm and No. 7 seed Mount Vernon/Plankinton takes on No. 10 seed Groton Area in Huron Arena at 7pm as well. In Class B SoDak 16, the No. 13 seed Parkston plays No. 4 seed Kadoka Area at 7pm at Todd County High School.

Dakota Wesleyan

The No. 9 ranked Tiger women’s basketball team take the court tonight. They’re back again at the Worlds Only Corn Palace for this game. Your Tigers will take on Valley City State at 7pm with pregame around 6:45pm.

Tomorrow your women’s wrestling team will be competing again. This time they’ll be in an exhibition and wrestling in the Buena Vista Duel. It’ll begin at 6pm tomorrow.

NBA

The five-game slate in the association last night featured some close games and some not so close. The Cleveland Cavaliers extend their winning streak to open the season to 12 straight and a perfect 12-0 record after beating the Chicago Bulls, 119-113. The Houston Rockets dominated the Washington Wizards and won, 107-92. The Brooklyn Nets won a nail biter against the New Orleans Pelicans, 107-105. A high scoring game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder occurred and resulted in the Thunder winning, 134-128. Lastly, it was the San Antonio Spurs taking care of business against the Sacramento Kings and winning handily, 116-96. Tomorrow, there’s several games being played. Your Minnesota Timberwolves against the Portland Trail Blazers along with various other NBA teams. The game will begin at 9pm on NBA League Pass or on your local channel.

NFL

Last night’s Monday Night Football action was between two struggling teams. It ended with the Miami Dolphins coming out on top and winning it, 23-15. The Minnesota Vikings will retake the field on Sunday at Noon when they play the Tennessee Titans on CBS.
