Two Mitchell men have been charged in yesterday’s armed robbery of a Mitchell convenience store. 18-year old Geno Gehl and 18-year old John Beck face first-degree robbery and aggravated assault charges stemming from the incident, which took place yesterday at around 4 PM at Easy Come, Easy Go located at 5th and Sanborn. The two men pointed BB guns at the female clerk’s head and robbed the store. One of the men fired his gun in the air during the robbery. After obtaining cash, they fled on foot, and the clerk then called 911. The men were apprehended just two blocks from the store. Gehl and Beck face up to 40 years in prison on the charges.
