MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Ashley Hobbs, the Executive Director of the Mitchell United Way, wants to clear up any confusion. The Mitchell United Way is not raising money for hurricane relief. That is the United Way of North Carolina that is engaged in hurricane relief. All money given to the Mitchell United Way stays here at home and aids thirty-three local organizations.
Thus far the United Way fundraising campaign for this year has raised $178,000 towards a goal of $475,000. The campaign ends on October 31, 2024.
