Voters in Hanson County go to the polls on Tuesday to vote on a ten-year $500,000 property tax opt-out. If passed, the opt-out would start with calendar year 2021 taxes payable in the calendar year 2022 and would last through taxes payable in the calendar year 2031. The additional $500,000 in property taxes would be used for road and bridge improvements in Hanson County. Residents can vote at the Hanson County Courthouse from 7 AM until 7 PM Tuesday.
