The Dimock Emery Raptors got back in the win column last night thanks an eight-run top of the second inning in Sioux Falls vs the Brewers as they jumped out to a big 9 to 3 lead after two innings. The Raptors Jason Schmidt did it from both sides of the diamond as he went three for six at the dish driving in two runs and he also scored two runs. The Dimock Emery Raptors crushed the Sioux Falls Brewers by the final of 16 to 8. The Raptors Jasson Schmidt started on the mound and went three innings allowing four runs for the Dimock Emery Raptors on seven hits while striking out two.
The Dimock Emery Raptors also had huge contributions from Peyton Nash who went 4 for 6 at the plate while driving in 2 RBI’s and he also scored two runs for the Raptors. Sam Pischke also had a big game from the plate for the Raptors going 4 for 6 at the plate while driving in 5 runs for the Dimock Emery Raptors. The Sioux Falls Brewers fall to 4 and 2 on the season while the Dimock Emery Raptors are now 9-7 on the season. The Dimock Emery Raptors are back on the diamond on Thursday night hosting the visiting Corsica Stickney Horned Frogs starting at 8:00 p.m.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be hosting their annual youth football camp today at Joe Quintal Field starting at 9;30 a.m. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes youth football camp is open to students entering grades 5-8 this fall, the camp cost $20 per athlete and runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The youth football camp will provide a lunch for the campers who are required to bring their own T-shirt, shorts and football cleats are also needed for participation. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes youth football camp is being instructed by the Dakota Wesleyan University coaching staff and players. The 1-2 Mitchell Aces are back on the diamond tonight at Cadwell Park hosting the visiting 0-4 Parker Ringnecks. The Mitchell Aces are the new kids on the block in amateur baseball as they are the first amateur baseball team in Mitchell SD, since the 2016 Mad Dogs. The first pitch tonight from Cadwell Park starts at 7:30 p.m.
The DWU Boys Technique Wrestling Camp starts today and runs through Wednesday June 26TH– Saturday June 29TH and is for young boy’s wrestlers who will learn basic to advanced technique that feature progressive drills that will improve wrestling moves in all three position that include top, bottom, and neutral as well as scrambling from the DWU wrestling coaches and players. The DWU boys wrestling camps are for boys in 6th grade through 12th grade. Day one check in time is at 10 a.m. Wednesday’s day one schedule is 2:30 p.m.to 4:30 p.m. The DWU boys wrestling camp is $335 per camper (T-shirt and 2 meals a day, 3 nights dorm included) commuter $200 (T-shirt lunch included each day).
