State Volleyball will get rolling tomorrow. In Class A, Mount Vernon/Plankinton is the No. 5 seed in the state tournament and will face No. 4 seed Dakota Valley on Thursday at 12:45pm in the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Tiger basketball goes down tonight in the Worlds Only Corn Palace. DWU is playing the Northwestern Red Raiders, with both teams ranked in the NAIA Top 25 poll – the women at No. 21 and the men at No. 12. Your No. 11 ranked women’s basketball team will start at 6pm and the men will follow at around 7:45pm.
The men’s wrestling team is on the road today for more wrestling competition. They will wrestle in the GPAC Duals beginning at 7pm.
The GPAC All-Conference teams were announced for volleyball yesterday afternoon. Junior middle blocker Emily Dale and senior outside hitter Abby Brunsing were tabbed as honorable mentions. While sophomore defensive specialist Lizzie Tyler earned 2nd team all-conference and sophomore setter Kayleigh Hybertson garnished 1st team all-conference. Hybertson also was named the 2024 GPAC Setter-of-the-Year.

Nine games scheduled in the NBA today after NBA Cup – Group Play yesterday. It’ll be the New Orleans Pelicans at the Cleveland Cavaliers at 6:30pm, the Chicago Bulls at the Milwaukee Bucks also at 6:30pm and over on ESPN. Then it’s a trio of 7pm games that include the Indiana Pacers at the Houston Rockets, the Philadelphia 76ers at the Memphis Grizzlies and the Portland Trail Blazers at the Oklahoma City Thunder. Then at 9pm it’s the New York Knicks at the Phoenix Suns on ESPN and the Atlanta Hawks at the Golden State Warriors. Concluding with the Orlando Magic at the Los Angeles Clippers at 9:30pm.

Coming up tomorrow is more Thursday Night Football. Opening up the week 12 games, it’ll be the Pittsburgh Steelers hitting the road to face the Cleveland Browns. The game will kickoff at 7:15pm on Prime Video at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, OH.
