Saturday’s Basketball Games

  • Hanson vs Woodbury Central at 10am (Girls Hanson Classic)
  • Sanborn Central/Woonsocket vs Elk Point-Jefferson at 11:30am (Girls Hanson Classic)
  • Corsica-Stickney vs Harding County at 1pm (Girls Hanson Classic)

Mitchell

The Marlins boys hockey team stay busy over the weekend with more games Saturday & Sunday. They’re competing in a Varsity Tournament in Shakopee, MN through Sunday with at least one game a day. Games will be played throughout the day.

The Kernel wrestling teams are competing on Saturday. Each team will be in a Varsity Invitational at home in Mitchell.  It’s the Jerry Opbroek Invitational at the MHS main gym beginning at 9am.

DWU

The Tiger women’s wrestling team is slated to compete on Saturday. They’ll be wrestling in the York Open at Tyler Phipps Wrestling Center in York, NE. The event will begin at 9am.

The Tiger track & field teams are both in action Saturday. They’ll be in the Dave Little Alumni Mile in Spearfish, SD. DWU is expected to begin in the morning, but time is currently listed as TBA on DWU athletics.

The Tiger basketball teams will have game action on a Sunday this weekend. DWU will be hosting Concordia (NE) in the Corn Palace and it will be a doubleheader. The No. 9 Tiger women will play first at 2pm and then the men will follow and play at 3:45pm.

SDSU

The Jackrabbit basketball teams both play this weekend on Saturday, back-to-back, but against two different teams. The women will host North Dakota State at 2pm and the men will host Kansas City at 4:15pm with both games at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings, SD. Games will air on the Summit League Network/Midco Sports Two.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be in action on Saturday on the back end of a back-to-back after facing the Houston Rockets on Friday. Saturday they will be in San Antonio taking on the Spurs at Frost Bank Center. Tipoff is at 7pm.

NFL

The playoffs continue with the Divisional Round this weekend! It gets going again Saturday and ends on Sunday. Saturday you’ve got the No. 6 seed Buffalo Bills at the No. 1 seed Denver Broncos at 3:30pm on CBS/Paramount+. Followed by the No. 6 seed San Francisco 49ers at the No. 1 seed Seattle Seahawks at 7pm on FOX. Sunday it’ll be the No. 5 seed Houston Texans at the No. 2 seed New England Patriots at 2pm on ABC/ESPN. Rounding it all out will be the No. 5 seed Los Angeles Rams at the No. 2 seed Chicago Bears at 5:30pm on NBC/Peacock.
