Mitchell
The Kernel gymnastics team will be competing Saturday afternoon. Mitchell will be in a Girls Varsity Meet here in Mitchell at the MHS main gym. Competition is expected to begin at 11:30am.
The Mitchell Marlins girls varsity team is still competing over the weekend. Day one was Friday and they still have Saturday and Sunday action on tap. Their Varsity Tournament in Omaha, NE continues as the Marlins look to stack up some wins.
DWU
The Tiger basketball teams get back to doubleheader action this Saturday. DWU will be in Fremont, NE taking on Midland at the Wikert Event Center. Tipoff for the No. 10 women will be at 2pm and the men will follow and play at 3:45pm.
SDSU
The Jackrabbit basketball teams will be playing on Saturday. For the (RV) women, they’ll be playing against Omaha in Omaha, NE at 4pm and airing only on the Summit League Network. The men will take on North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND at 1pm and it’ll be airing on the Summit League Network/Midco Sports.
NFL
Week 18 begins on Saturday. A pair of games are set as the Carolina Panthers are at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL with kickoff at 3:30pm. Then you’ll have the Seattle Seahawks at the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA with kickoff at 7pm. Both games will air on ABC/ESPN. The rest of the NFL games will be on Sunday, no Monday Night Football.
NBA
The Minnesota Timberwolves get back to the court on Saturday & Sunday. Saturday, they will make their way over to Miami, FL to face the Heat at the Kasya Center. Tipoff will be at 4pm on NBATV. Sunday, they take their talents over to Washington, DC to play in Capital One Arena at 5pm against the Washington Wizards.
