MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A section of West 23rd Avenue in northern Mitchell will be closed for about two weeks, affecting the stretch between North Ohlman Street and Pheasant Street. While North Ohlman will stay open at the 23rd Avenue intersection for about nine days, it will eventually close to allow intersection improvements. This closure adds to ongoing construction in the area, including the existing closure of North Ohlman between Indian Village Road and South Harmon Drive. West 23rd Avenue also serves as a detour route for the Highway 37 bypass and Main Street project, with that detour lasting until May 17th.
