MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota is home to nearly 14,000 beef operations which care for 3.5 million head of cattle, outnumbering state residents by a ratio of 4.2 to 1. May is Beef Month, and the South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) is excited to announce the inaugural “So Dak Best Beef Burger” contest.
Participants are asked to nominate their favorite beef burger from any South Dakota restaurant at sdbeef.org. Nominations are open from May 1 to June 16, 2024. The winner will be announced on SDBIC’s social media on August 1, 2024.
