Another winter storm system could disrupt Christmas travel plans in parts of South Dakota.  A wind chill advisory takes effect at 2 AM on Tuesday morning.  That will remain in effect until 10 AM.  A winter storm watch takes effect at 6 AM on Wednesday.  That will remain in effect until 6 PM on Friday.  A wind chill watch takes effect at midnight on Thursday and will remain in effect until 6 PM on Christmas Eve.

Andrew Kalin with the National Weather Service says this storm system will bring several hazards.  Snow will begin Wednesday.  The snow will continue into daybreak on Thursday.  Winds will increase to 35-45 MPH creating possible blizzard-like conditions.  Temperatures will drop even further below zero from -35 to -50 degrees.  Anyone traveling could be at risk if they are stranded due to the weather.

Kalin says anyone with travel plans from Wednesday through Christmas Eve morning should consider altering those plans if headed in the direction impacted by the storm.
