The 78th annual Miss South Dakota competition returns to Brookings from May 29–31, bringing together 20 accomplished young women from across the state to compete in talent, fitness, public speaking, and stage presence. Contestants, ages 19 to 26, will compete for over $54,000 in scholarships and prizes, with the new Miss South Dakota receiving at least $13,000 and the opportunity to represent the state at the Miss America competition in September.
