A man is dead and two individuals are in custody following a fatal stabbing on the Pine Ridge Reservation. According to the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety, officers discovered the victim with a stab wound on a porch around 2 a.m. Sunday.

The 78th annual Miss South Dakota competition returns to Brookings from May 29–31, bringing together 20 accomplished young women from across the state to compete in talent, fitness, public speaking, and stage presence.
