
South Dakota has improved its national standing in average teacher pay, moving up from 49th to 46th place, according to the National Education Association’s 2023–24 report.

A Sioux Falls woman, 22-year-old Jada Jones, is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly selling fentanyl to an undercover informant on two separate occasions last fall. According to police, the controlled buys took place at Jones’ apartment in September and October, with the informant wearing a wire and under law enforcement surveillance. Jones is now charged with drug distribution and possession.

Starting today, major parking changes are in effect in downtown Sioux Falls. Meter enforcement now includes Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., expanding to six days a week.
