The Parkston Mudcats got their first win in four tries this season as they held on to beat Garretson 2-0 Thursday night.
The Blue Jays were held to just 3 hits on the night, while Nate Doering and Dylan Mogck each had RBIs for Parkston. The Mudcats will be at Alexandria to take on the Angels Sunday evening at 5pm.
Elsewhere in amateur baseball play last night, Canova outlasted Flandreau in a slugfest on the road 14-13.
Gavin Gassman and Kendall Gassman each 3 RBIs for Canova, while Jared Miller led the team with 4 hits as the Gang improved to 4-0. Canova travels to Humboldt to face the Wood Ducks on Sunday at 5pm.
