South Dakota is blanketed under the haze and smell of smoky conditions today.  Steve Fleegel is with the National Weather Service.  He says the smoke is coming from wildfires in the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Ontario.  Fleegel says a change in the weather pattern, including cooler temperatures and northerly winds, has brought the smoke to parts of South Dakota and Minnesota.

For people with health problems, it’s a good idea to stay indoors. Smoke is in our forecast through Friday morning.
