TABOR, S.D. – A Vermillion man has been identified as the person who died early Friday morning in a one-vehicle crash south of Tabor.

38-year old Traun Cook, Sr. was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. Preliminary crash information indicates that a 2002 Cadillac Seville was eastbound on Highway 50 two miles south of Tabor just after 7:30 AM on Friday when Cook failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled.
