Rapid City state representative to run for US House

Republican State Representative Taffy Howard of Rapid City has officially announced her bid for the US House of Representatives.

The announcement was to be made at a weather-cancelled event at Fort Hayes in Rapid City today.

Howard has served in the state house since 2017 and argues there needs to be “more of South Dakota” in DC.

Howard has raised $110,000 for the campaign through donations and an Allied SuperPAC.

She would be running in a Republican primary against current Representative Dusty Johnson.
