The Mitchell City Council on Monday night approved the first step in a potential land swap of two properties on North Main Street in downtown Mitchell. The owners of the Scoreboard, Jason and Jen Bradley, would buy the former Northwestern Energy building from the city and Mitchell Area Development Corporation to house their restaurant and bar. The current Scoreboard building would then be torn down to expand the Corn Palace Plaza.
The council approved setting a hearing date and appointing an appraisal board to appraise the former Northwestern Energy building.
