Armour – Willis Wayne Johnson, 83, went to his heavenly home Sunday, February 19 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. Memorial service will be Friday, March 3 at 2:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 1:00 am, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Armour. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.
Willis was born on May 9th 1939 at Crofton Neb to Virgil and Ethel Johnson. He was the 6th of 8 children. He attended school at Bronson Iowa. He worked for the phone company for 38 years. Willis enjoyed walleye fishing and deer hunting in his retirement. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by a son, Kurt from North Dakota; a daughter, Kim from Arizona; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; and a brother, Charles from Arizona.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria; daughter, Kathy; and 6 siblings Bertha Wood, Andrew Johnson, Lucretia Johnson, Maude Kuhn, LeRoy Johnson and Virginia Jenson.
