Mosquito Spraying: Our parks crew is preparing to do their first mosquito spraying of the season on Tuesday night, June 13, beginning right around 9:00 p.m. We do have need to wait for the right conditions to spray, one of those being winds below 10 mph, to be the most effective. We use direct-contact spray, meaning it needs to contact the bugs to eradicate them, and since mosquitoes tend to shelter when it is breezy, waiting for calm conditions, when they are actively flying, seems to be most effective.
