Sole possession of first place in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, as well as state bragging rights, will be on the line Saturday afternoon, when No. 1 South Dakota State travels to South Dakota for a top-10 matchup.

Kickoff for the Interstate Series matchup is slated for 1 p.m. at the DakotaDome in Vermillion.

The top-ranked Jackrabbits enter the week with a 7-0 overall record, including a 4-0 mark in the MVFC. SDSU ran its overall winning streak to 21 games with a hard-fought 17-10 victory Oct. 21 at No. 12 Southern Illinois.

USD, meanwhile, improved to 6-1 overall and also stayed unbeaten in league play at 4-0 with a 17-3 road win at Indiana State. The Coyotes, whose lone loss came to Missouri in their Aug. 31 season opener, are ranked fourth in this week’s Stats Perform media poll and ninth in the poll conducted by the American Football Coaches Association. The game is a sell-out for Saturday!
