SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) State Climatologist Laura Edwards says that regular small rainfalls have gone a long way to restoring optimum moisture levels in the soil, especially in eastern South Dakota. She says that soil temperatures haven’t warmed up much. The soil temperature is still in the forties, down four inches deep.
Edwards says it looks like it will be a wet beginning to the month of May as well.
