Ag Summit Held in Huron

HURON, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The 2024 Governors Ag Summit was held in the Expo Building on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds. A variety of sessions were held. During opening comments Governor Kristi Noem highlighted the importance of the Ag summit specifically and agriculture generally. At the end of her comments Governor Noem presented the 2024 Ag Ambassador award.

After a video viewing of various representatives in agriculture along with state and national governmental officials recognizing Oster’s achievements, Governor Noem made the proclamation for Ag Ambassador Jerry Oster Day.

The 2024 Ag Ambassador presentation was held during the opening portion Wednesday of the Governors Ag Summit. Jerry Oster spent 49 years at WNAX in Yankton.
