SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Sioux Falls Regional Airport is expanding.  It’s in the process of adding on a parking ramp with a skywalk but there’s a lot more in the works.  It’s also looking at adding on to the airport itself with more gates. Airport Director Dan Letellier says that the gates at Joe Foss Airport are full every morning and early afternoon.  He says that a new concourse is two-thirds of the way through the design stage.

The plan for the Sioux Falls Airport will bring the total number of gates up to 14 by extending the concourse.  The total cost has not yet been determined but is expected to be north of $100 million for the parking ramp, skywalk and concourse expansion with additional gates.
