KIMBALL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Kimball School District will join others, like Gettysburg, that are deciding to go cell phone free for the upcoming school year.  Superintendent and High School Principal Matt Dykstra says that after consulting with other schools and the District’s School Board, Kimball decided to give the cell phone free policy a try.

Students will still be able to get messages from parents by having parents call the school office and messages will be delivered.  Parents and students can find out more details at the Kimball School District’s Open House on Wednesday August 14, 2024.

The Kimball School District will be using NuGerm brand cases that can be unlocked with a magnetic key to store students’ digital devices in during the school day.  The first day of school for Kimball will be Monday August 19.
