Kidnapping…

The number of high-profile cases is stacking up for Sioux Falls police.

There are changing facts in a kidnapping case that began last week, but a Sioux Falls man is still being held on a quarter-million-dollar bond.  Thirty-year-old Edgar Segura was accused of abducting a woman off the street last week, taking her to an apartment where she was bound, assaulted and knocked unconscious.

The woman was knocked unconscious, taken out of the city and tied to a pole in rural Minnehaha County, where she was able to flag down someone to help.

Investigators are still working on the case.

Aggravated Assault…

A Pine Ridge man faces Aggravated Assault, Robbery and Kidnapping charges.  Thirty-two-year-old Robin Swallow was arrested after a gathering in a Sioux Falls park turned violent.   Swallow and a sixty-four-year-old man got into a verbal argument which resulted in Swallow punching and kicking the man so viciously that the victim is now in the hospital with life threatening injuries.

A Pistol was Carried into Lincoln High School Over the Weekend

A weekend scare at a Lincoln High School fundraiser has produced an arrest.

Sioux Falls Information Officer Sam Clemens says a group of students outside the building saw the suspect with a handgun.  The man walked into Sioux Falls Lincoln High School to partake of the fundraising pancake feed.  He had the pistol in his waistband.  He didn’t display or threaten anyone with it.

Initially, his identity was unknown, but he was located with the public’s help after police posted pictures on their Facebook page, asking for information on his location. The suspect, Phillip Linderman, was arrested for having a firearm in a school building.
