Rapid City, S.D. — The November 2024 meeting of the Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board (NFAB) is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Forest Service Mystic Ranger District Office, 8221 Mount Rushmore Rd, Rapid City, SD 57702. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. and end no later than 4:30 p.m.

Topics on the meeting agenda include getting to know the committee, review of membership, meetings, charter and bylaws, Forest Recreation Fee Proposal and forest plan revision. Meetings are open to the Public. If time allows, members of the public may make oral comments of three minutes or less.

The NFAB was established in 2003, consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972, to provide advice and recommendations to the Black Hills National Forest on a broad range of forest issues such as forest health, travel management, forest monitoring and evaluation, forest plan revisions or amendments, recreation fees, and site-specific projects having forest-wide implications.
