MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) It is “Shop Local” Saturday in Mitchell on November 30th. Local businesses provide employment, payroll, retail opportunities, volunteers and funding for local organizations so be sure to head out to local businesses and do some Christmas shopping locally on Saturday November 30th.
Christmas at the Palace will take place on Tuesday December 3rd. The festivities begin at 4:30pm with Santa on hand as well as kids’ activities and cookies. The Parade of Lights is that evening at 7pm with the theme “Christmas Movies”.
There is an opportunity for children ages 12 and under to shop for the adults in their lives at the Masonic Temple from 9am to 2pm on Saturday December 7th. All the gifts are priced at $10 and under. There will be adult helpers on hand so that the kids can pick their gifts in privacy and keep the secret until they are unwrapped under the tree on Christmas.
