The Tiger basketball teams competed against the Briar Cliff Chargers last night in Sioux City, Iowa. It started with a Top 20 matchup with the No. 5 ranked Chargers and your No. 16 ranked Tiger women. It was a nice battle between the two Great Plains Athletic Conference powerhouses that was so good it saw overtime! Though, Briar Cliff dominated the OT period, 12-4 and won the game 79-71. DWU was led by Rylee Rosenquist who had a 26-point & 13-rebound double-double. The Tiger women fall to 18-5 overall and 13-4 in the GPAC. The men’s game followed, and it was just as close of a game, but it was sealed in regulation. DWU was propelled to a 77-76 win with a three in the final minute from Randy Rosenquist and a pair of clutch free throws from Tampa Scott IV to put the Tigers over by one. Leading the Tigers in scoring was Scott with 16 points. DWU improves to 17-6 overall and 10-5 in the GPAC.
